Hello,
It's been a while I know.
I haven't had a computer that can support my site until now. But that's all changed at last.
Life has been treating me well here in London. I have a job that pays the rent nicely; Danny and I are living in a lovely place in Leytonstone and weekends are spent eating out lots and exploring all that London has to offer. They say if you're bored of London you're bored of life and I really can't imagine ever being bored here. Having had 6 months without a job last year (South America, then arriving in London at the beginning of the recession...) I have spent the past 8 months trying to save and pay off debts hence the constant travels were put on hold for a bit. Not that it stopped us from having an absolute blast.
In February I ran a half marathon and wanted to die at the end of it... but a week later I went to Japan and had an awesome time. The pictures of Japan are up now and a blog of my time there will come soon. This summer we've got a lot on with friends to show our adopted city to, lots of concerts and fun in the sun. Next long haul adventure is to New York for New Years with Rachael Moss (planned since we were 10!) and with a bit of luck I'll finally make it to Africa next year.
To make up for the lack of frequent flyer mile building I've been reading an awful lot of travel stories. Must reads are In the Shadow of Byzantium by William Darylmple, Once While Travelling (the Lonely Planet Story) and In Patagonia by Bruce Chatwin.
Hope life is good for you all.
Katherine
